In a testament to our commitment to operational excellence and crew welfare, Armona Denizcilik's Top-Level and Senior-Level Management conducted Safety & Leadership visits to two of our vessels, Atlantis Alicante and Atlantis Almeria. These visits, which took place on November 28 and 29, respectively, were aimed at fostering open communication, meeting new crew members, building bonds, and ensuring the continued safety and efficiency of the company's maritime operations.
On November 28, in Rotterdam Koole Botlek Jetty 7, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Mr. Marlon Kerim Weinstabl graced Atlantis Alicante with his presence. During his visit, Mr. Weinstabl engaged in meaningful discussions with the vessel's crew, gaining valuable insights into their day-to-day operations and challenges. Mr. Weinstabl's aim for such visits is not to inspect the vessel, but moreover spend quality time with the crew. "Inspections and audits are done amply by our superintendents. My focus is on caring for our crew, learning their challenges and addressing these with actionable improvements" as he states.
On November 29th, HSEQ Manager DPA/CSO Mr. Gökhan Pehlivan visited Atlantis Almeria. His visit focused on promoting a learner mindset, encouraging open communication, and emphasizing the company's commitment to human factor principles. Mr. Pehlivan highlighted the importance of learning from mistakes, fostering a blame-free culture, and understanding the contextual factors that influence human behavior. He also emphasized the significance of responding to failures constructively and using them as opportunities for growth.
These routinely planned and executed safety & leadership vessel visits are not mere formalities; they are tangible expressions of Armona's dedication to its people and its vessels. By fostering open communication, being present, recognizing crew challenges, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental targets, we are able to continue on our continuous journey of learning an improvement.
We thank all our leaders at shore and at sea for their unwavering commitment to a Zero-Incidence Industry.
