The industry strives to ensure that operators take part in achieving the collective vision of a “Zero Incident” industry.

We are convinced that this can only be attained by thorough initial and consecutive training of our crews.

Armona has introduced a comprehensive training process for training crew both onboard and ashore.

The training system uses training units which provide access to Videos, Computer-based Training, Courses and Interactive Programs.

A web-based fleet administration unit enables access to seafarer's results and performance by importing training records data from the various vessels.

During the Recruitment Process all officers carry out an on-line assessment as part of the pre-assessment test in accordance with the specific duties.

No candidate who fails the pre-assessment test will be employed. Successful candidates join an office training program before their first assignment and their results will again be transferred to the web-based Fleet Training Administrator Unit.

Following selected onboard training periods, a training record is established and monitored by the operator and there are assessment processes carried out through internal and external audits, together with masters’ and superintendents' evaluation reports, additional training needs are determined.

Recruitment process

The Armona Denizcilik recruitment process starts when you have submitted your application online and the confirmation pop-up appears on your screen.

We try to get back to applicants within a few days of the deadline, but it’s also important that we have a chance to review your application carefully. So please bear with us if it takes a little longer to respond.

The recruitment process comprises at least two interviews.

1

The first of these takes place in our human resources (HR) department and aims to help us form an impression of you as a person.

This interview only touches briefly on the position and your professional qualifications. As part of the interview your English ability will be tested.

2

Following the first interview, you’ll be assessed in relation to the position you are applying for.

The assessment is based on a weighting of all the elements in the application process and the impression we formed during the personal interview. You will receive a written response within 7 days, either in the form of an invitation to a second interview or as simple rejection letter.

3

The second interview is conducted by the manager of the department you’ve applied to or we propose you to work in and will cover your qualifications and the position more specifically.

Here, you will also have a chance to learn more about the position and the team. You will be informed whether we offer you the job by the HR manager or a member of our HR staff who will contact you within 3 days.
