At Armona Denizcilik, we take pride in educating our team members. Inevitably, crises can occur under the extraordinary circumstances presented by life at sea. Therefore, it is crucial for our colleagues to have proper training to respond to various media outlets in such situations.
We provided Crisis Management and Media Response training to prepare our colleagues at all times. To ensure the most effective media handling during a crisis, we brought in Benan Kepsutlu, CNN's former news reporter with extensive experience interviewing world leaders. The training covered both theoretical and practical aspects of managing media pressure, including body language for confidence and delivering professional, diplomatic statements during live interviews.
This allowed our colleagues to practice their prior skills, such as communication and psychological analysis, honed through previous company training sessions. The Armona team also participated in a comprehensive TV interview simulation, where they were recorded and received constructive criticism from each other. This approach, supported by our management, further enhanced the team's overall crisis management skills.
