A truly informative two-day conference focusing on the commercial, technical, and operational aspects of the chemical, product, and crude tanker sector took place in London!
The Tanker Shipping & Trade Conference featured insightful presentations from industry leaders like Andrew Cassels (Director at OCIMF), Capt. Howard Snaith (GM at CDI), and Stavroula Betsakou (Head of Tanker Research at Howe Robinson). Networking opportunities with key figures like Catrine Vesteren (Business Director at DNV GL) and Warwick Norman of Rightship added to the event's value. Discussions and reminiscing included Alex Kahl (consultant and former UTC's vetting manager in operations) and Kathi Stenzel (MD of ITOPF), with a focus on Germany's past state-of-the-art management practices. The CEO was also seen catching up with a former colleague, Volkmar Galke from Winterthur Gas & Diesel (who has a rich industry history with MAN B&W, Sulzer, and Wartsila).
