Capt. Nusret Efe Er, also known as "The Salt Bae of Shipping," joined the Atlantis/Armona family on September 6, 2021. He brings a dynamic skillset to the table, serving as both Operations Manager and playing an active role in the Chartering Team as a Tanker Broker.
Nusret's background is impressive. After graduating from the prestigious Koc High School, he pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Transportation at Istanbul Technical University and SUNY Maritime College in New York. Following his studies, he gained valuable experience sailing on various tankers with companies like V.Ships UK, Chemfleet, and Harren&Partner as a Deck Officer. Nusret further bolstered his academic credentials with a Post Graduate Degree in Marine Insurance from the World Maritime University. Transitioning to shoreside work, he began his career as Assistant Operations Manager at YMN Tanker for five years, followed by two years as Assistant Chartering Manager. Most recently, he established the Istanbul office for Petro Tanker Brokers before joining Atlantis.
