Flashback to February 2022, Armona Denizcilik's CTO Mr. Marlon Weinstabl was selected to represent all Turkish Shipowners in Shell's Maritime Partners in Safety Program. More specifically, he became a Focus Group Member of Shell's Rotterdam Group, joining members from Odjfell, BW/Hafnia, Wisby Tankers, and Synergy Marine Group. This is not only a huge honor but also an opportunity to be more involved in developing higher HSEQ standards and new initiatives within the Marine Chemical Tanker sector.
On November 1, 2022, Istanbul, Turkey hosted the regional Shell Maritime Partners in Safety Workshop. Mr. Weinstabl and Armona Denizcilik served as the gracious hosts.
The workshop began with a welcome speech by Mr. Weinstabl. Shell presented on the " PNiS Journey so far" with Mr. Henne Hennis, Capt. Ayhan Dukel, and Capt. Doğan Yiğit presenting. Mrs. Melisa Ozen from Kaman Denizcilik followed with a thought-provoking presentation on "Context Drives Behaviour." Next, Capt. Onur Lüleci delivered a compelling presentation on "How You Respond to Failure Matters." The final presentation, "Failing Safely vs. Failing Lucky," by Mr. Marlon Weinstabl and Mr. Sean Fourie from Armona Denizcilik sparked discussions and concluded the presentations. The workshop concluded with a celebration cake for the 10th anniversary of Maritime Partners in Safety and a group photo of all presenters and attendees.
