In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, in an archipelago located between Guinea and Brazil, our CEO Lorenz Weinstabl and Training Superintendent Menduh Aydin awaited the arrival of the Atlantis Aldabra from Europe.
A Royal Dutch Shell-related Leadership & Safety visit was conducted onboard the vessel. To ensure everyone's safety, all crew members and visitors underwent a fresh COVID-19 PCR test beforehand, allowing for a mask-free setting during the visit.
This visit held significant importance as the entire crew is scheduled to be signed off and replaced by new crew members in the coming days.
Side note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Armona has implemented a policy since March 2020 prohibiting its seafarers from shore visits to protect their health and safety.
