We are excited to announce that Captain Farbod Assadpour has been named the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Armona Denizcilik. This appointment is effective immediately and marks a significant step forward in the company's leadership.
Captain Farbod joined our sister company, Atlantis Tankers Group, in January 2024 as Claims Handler and Tanker Operator, where he demonstrated outstanding leadership and technical skills. With over a decade of experience in the maritime industry, he has excelled in managing both operational and technical aspects, including complex chemical tanker operations, cargo logistics, and maintaining the highest safety standards. His extensive knowledge also covers handling Protection and Indemnity (P & I) insurance claims, where he ensured swift and efficient resolutions.
His previous roles in top-tier ship management, combined with his expertise in cargo management, advanced navigation, and vessel stability, have given him a deep understanding of both operational and strategic faces of the maritime industry. Captain Farbod holds an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering, qualifications that further enhance his ability to lead technical operations at Armona Denizcilik. Fluent in Turkish, English, Persian, and Azerbaijani (Azari), he is well-positioned to work effectively across our global network.
In his new role as CTO, Captain Farbod will focus on optimizing technical operations, fostering innovation, and ensuring that the fleet continues to operate at the highest standards of safety and efficiency. We are confident that his leadership will drive Armona Denizcilik to even greater success.
