Shipping is a complex business with the involved parties often far apart. Yet, the key to success lies in a strong organizational structure, good inter-company communication, and courage from both seafarers and the office team.
Having good communication and understanding on both sides will benefit cooperation in operations and foster trust among the team, thereby increasing productivity.
Striving for excellence, "what more can be done," has always been a company motto for Armona Denizcilik. It is this ideology that led Armona to organize a company-run office seminar to enhance relationships among colleagues, set new goals, review procedures, and explore possible improvements.
The two-day seminar was held at Armona Denizcilik's headquarters in Istanbul, with the participation of Captains, Officers, Engineers, as well as the Chief Technical Officer, HSEQ/CSO Manager, Commercial Manager, and the CEO of Armona Denizcilik.
The main subjects reviewed during the seminar included:
- MLC code
- Digital and hard copies of ISM systems
- Bunkering
- Commercial documentation
- Energy Efficiency Operational Index on vessels
Additionally, a social activity was planned to strengthen bonds between colleagues and increase dedication to our work. The seminar was very well received by the participants and raised awareness of its importance.
