Armona Denizcilik Appoints Marlon Kerim Weinstabl as Chief Executive Officer

Armona Denizcilik A.Ş., the technical management company of Atlantis Tankers Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marlon Kerim Weinstabl as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With this transition, Lorenz Weinstabl will continue his leadership journey as Chairman of the Board, focusing on strategic oversight and long-term vision for the Group, while Marlon assumes executive responsibility for the day-to-day management and future growth of Armona.

Marlon's story at Armona began in 2014, when he joined the company as an intern and gained experience across all departments, including Health Safety Environment Quality (HSEQ), Vetting, Crewing, Technical, Purchasing, and Finance. He steadily grew across the ranks, taking on roles such as Newbuilding Project Finance Manager, where he supported key investment and fleet development projects. In April 2020, he was appointed Chief Technical Officer (CTO), responsible for all technical operations, fleet safety, and regulatory compliance. Under his leadership, Armona strengthened its Safety Management Systems, enhanced performance across the fleet, and advanced newbuild and dry-docking projects. Most recently, he served as Deputy CEO, further expanding his role in overall company management and strategy, making this step to CEO a natural progression.

Beyond Armona, Marlon plays an important role across the wider Group and the maritime and energy community. He serves as a Director at Atlantis Tankers Group, overseeing strategic projects such as Sales and Purchases (S&Ps) and Time Charters (TCs), and is Co-Founder and Member of the Board of BiB Corporation, an energy trading and logistics company working closely with strategic partners in the sector. He is also the President of the Young Turkish Shipowners Group, helping to shape the future of Turkey's maritime industry by fostering collaboration and innovation among emerging leaders. On the international stage, Marlon holds a leadership role at Shell as the Focus Lead for the Mediterranean Shipowners Basin, where he contributes to maritime safety and operational efficiency within the “Maritime Partners in Safety” framework.

Marlon holds dual degrees in Business Administration and Law from IE University, providing a strong foundation that combines commercial, legal, and managerial perspectives. Fluent in six languages, he is able to navigate complex international environments and build strong relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders across different regions. His blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and multicultural awareness positions him uniquely to lead Armona Denizcilik into its next phase of growth.

With this appointment, Armona Denizcilik reaffirms its commitment to safety, quality, and long-term sustainable growth. Under Marlon Kerim Weinstabl's leadership as CEO, working closely with Lorenz Weinstabl in his role as Chairman of the Board, the company is well-positioned to continue strengthening its position as a trusted technical manager and partner in the global chemical tanker market.
