Armona Maritime Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Marlon Kerim Weinstabl to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO). Marlon's appointment marks a significant milestone in the company's leadership team, as he continues to drive operational excellence and strategic growth for Armona and its sister company, Atlantis Tankers Group.
Marlon began his career at Armona Denizcilik in 2014 as an intern, gaining valuable experience across all key departments, including Health Safety Environment Quality (HSEQ), Vetting, and Crewing. Over the years, his commitment and drive for excellence saw him rise steadily through the ranks, eventually taking on the role of Newbuilding Project Finance Manager. In April 2020, he was appointed Chief Technical Officer (CTO), overseeing all technical operations and ensuring the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of the entire fleet. His leadership in these roles has been pivotal in maintaining Armona's strong operational performance, driving innovation, and meeting the company's strategic objectives, making him a natural choice for the Deputy CEO position.
In addition to his work at Armona, Marlon is also a Director at Atlantis Tankers Group, where he oversees strategic projects such as Sales and Purchases (S&Ps) and Time Charters (TCs), contributing significantly to the group's international growth and success. Furthermore, as President of the Young Turkish Shipowners Group, he is shaping the future of Turkey's maritime industry by fostering collaboration and innovation among emerging leaders. Marlon's influence extends internationally through his role at Shell as the Focus Lead for the Mediterranean Shipowners Basin, where he contributes to maritime safety and operational efficiency across the region.
Marlon holds dual degrees in Business Administration and Law from IE University, giving him a strong foundation in both the technical and commercial aspects of the maritime sector. His ability to navigate complex international markets is further enhanced by his fluency in six languages, including Turkish, English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, making him an exceptionally versatile leader in the global maritime industry.
As Deputy CEO, Marlon will continue to lead Armona's technical operations while expanding his role in the company's strategic decision-making. His leadership will be instrumental in driving Armona's growth and reinforcing its position as a leading player in the maritime industry. We congratulate Marlon on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to his continued success in this new role.
