At Atlantis Tankers, Ship Management, comprising Technical Management and Crew Management, is offered by the Group's main company, Armona Denizcilik AS, an affiliate of the Atlantis Tankers Group. Founded in 2002, Armona has built eleven tankers for Atlantis Tankers. This construction experience has given our team a superb knowledge of the tankers we manage today, enabling us to maximize the efficiency of all activities.
A critical element of successful technical management is the cost effective procurement of the miscellaneous store, spares and services consumed by vessels.
The ability to obtain the most attractive prices on competitive terms for major consumables is a deciding factor contributing to the success of our organization, which is located amid vast shipyard facilities in Istanbul.
Nowadays, health, safety and environmental protection are top priorities on which we will not compromise. We are firmly committed to achieving “zero incidents, zero spills” in all our operations by means of continuous improvement processes. To succeed in this aim, we recruit and train only the highest quality personnel, because we believe that only the best people can deliver the best results.
While our out-most goal is to be recognized as a Quality Operator we strive to demonstrate this with factors such as our Incident Profile & Investigation, SIRE & CDI Inspection Results, Emergency Response Capability, Port State Control, Terminal Vessel Performance Reports, Recruitment and experience profile, the Safety Management System and the ranking and progress in the Tanker Management Self Assessment.
But that is not where we will end it. Armona Denizcilik's management system is certified to ISM. In 2011, the management systems ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management, OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series and ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management were introduced. Certification in all three was completed mid of 2012, and was renewed in 2015. In 2013 the “Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan" (SEEMP) has been introduced to the fleet and has been recognized by Classification bodies.
In 2010, Gökhan Pehlivan was employed as Master of Atlantis Alhambra prior to joining the office team to become Nautical Superintendent. He was later promoted to Fleet Manager and then to Senior Fleet Manager. In 2019, he became the DPA/HSEQ Manager.
