- Meeting or exceeding all applicable regulatory and industry requirements and regularly assessing our health and safety compliance levels.
- Integrating health and safety into all company instructions and assessing risks related to our activities both onboard and ashore, establishing appropriate safeguards.
- Setting health and safety objectives and targets to monitor and measure the effectiveness of our performance, minimizing potential risks.
- Encouraging participation from all personnel in identifying potentially unsafe situations, intervening, and implementing corrective measures.
- Preparing for emergencies with rigorous drill exercises onboard, monitored by shore personnel.
- Enhancing competent, safe performance of operations by providing employees with sufficient information, equipment, and training.
- Implementing and continuously improving a documented management system in compliance with the ISM Code, ISO 45001 standards, and all applicable regulatory and industry requirements.
Environmental Management Policy
Armona Denizcilik A.Ş recognizes the significant impact that sea transport can have on the environment and is fully committed to environmental protection and pollution prevention both ashore and at sea. Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015, and we strive to:
- Fully embrace the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) and eliminate accidents as the primary defense against pollution.
- Comply with marine environment protection requirements established under ISO 14001, national, international, port state, and mandated territorial laws.
- Identify environmental risks and develop proactive measures to reduce impacts on the marine environment and the atmosphere, addressing sources of pollution such as incineration, noise, waste, garbage, sewage, fouling paints, spills of oil or noxious liquid substances, dangerous goods, ballast water (including microorganism transfer), refrigerants, halons, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), cargo vapor, and engine exhaust emissions.
- Maintain a zero-spill, zero-pollution tolerance policy, setting realistic environmental targets and objectives to measure and monitor the performance of our environmental management system, driving continuous improvement.
- Assess environmental and energy aspects and risks related to our activities, considering life-cycle assessment results, and implement required measures to minimize environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency.
- Increase the competence and environmental awareness of our employees by training and motivating them to perform their duties in an environmentally friendly and compliant manner.
- Adhere to a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance with this policy, which results in termination of employment and potential criminal liability.
Certifications Held :
- TS EN ISO 14001:2015: Certified for chemical tanker technical management services and vessel operations, including port operations, loading and discharging of goods, MARPOL residue disposal, in-port maintenance, painting, cleaning, bunkering, and provisioning operations.
Quality Management Policy
All vessels managed by Armona Denizcilik A.Ş operate in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, which includes a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives. We are dedicated to meeting and exceeding all applicable regulatory and industry requirements and regularly assess our compliance. Our approach to quality management includes:
- Meeting and surpassing customer expectations and requirements by maintaining fleet vessels to ensure reliable performance, structural integrity, and fitness for their intended service.
- Adopting procedures and disciplines to ensure the effective implementation of our quality management system within our company objectives and targets.
- Providing relevant skills development and quality awareness training to maintain a high level of competent employees.

Governance :
- Our Designated Person Ashore (DPA) ensures all personnel and departments receive adequate resources to maintain and update the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).
- The Chief Technical Officer has established a Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Policy Statement, which is reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with national, international, and flag state laws, IMO codes, and resolutions.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
Armona Denizcilik A.Ş recognizes the severe implications that alcohol, drugs, or other substance abuse can have on performance, safety, and operational efficiency. To uphold the highest standards:
- All Fleet Vessels are Dry Ships: The possession and use of any kind of drugs and/or alcohol are strictly prohibited on company vessels.
- Controlled Use of Prescribed Drugs: The use of prescribed drugs for medical treatment is allowed, but only under controlled conditions and following specific medical advice.
- Mandatory Testing: All crew members may be required to undergo a drug and/or alcohol test.
- Zero Tolerance Policy: Refusal to comply with testing will result in immediate termination of the contract.
- Comprehensive Application: This policy applies to both shore-based and shipboard employees.
